Is it okay to ask an employer about the statue of a resume? |
Back in November I came across this ad for a job and I applied, heard nothing. Seen another posting for the same job in January and applied but heard nothing - Now it's March and the ad has appeared yet again and I submitted an application. I've left a message in their human resources department that I was interested because I was taught that it's good to show interest but the calls were never returned either. Would sending an email about the status of my application be over kill? After the third posting, it may be time to realize that while you're interested in them, they may not be interested in you. They also don't have the courtesy to respond to mailings or phone calls, so it may be more in your interest anyway to seek employment someplace that shows people more respect. I'm also looking for a job, and am encountering this same thing. I think it's clear that they don't want you for this job, I'm sorry to say. |
