What should I put on a resume? If I never even had any work experience.?

Please give examples of what you would put.

School experience... any type of work experience you have, even if it's not related to the job you are applying for. Your resume is about YOU... so anything that you can add to make a better argument as to why you would be the best candidate for the job is what you include ! Be creative, but never negative... don't belittle past bosses or coworkers or for that matter brag ... but do mention what you are good at !

Have you ever volunteered at a shelter, or been a member of a club or organization that organized events that helped the community. If you have been in school, do you have teachers that will give you references? Maybe you worked in one of the offices helping the counselor or etc... Maybe you have served on Student Council or as
Band President, etc. Anything like this can count as life experience and can be listed on a resume if you are just starting out.

If you had no work experience, I would put in sections about volunteer expereince, community service you have done, and even small job experience (mowing lawns, babysitting, shoveling driveways, painting houses, etc.)

If you don't have work experience, put education.
Keep it short (1 to 2 pgs), and put only the stuff relevant to the job you are trying to get.

Ramble on about what skills you have to offer. If you're attentive to detail or if your reliable or honest. Whatever. Just put it on there.

Educational background (courses you have taken, GPA, future goals).

Volunteer work

Special projects (even if you didn't get paid)

A "skills" section that highlights your strong points (works well in a team, organized, good math skills, any computer programs you can use or special tools, etc)

References - especially important for those with limited experience. Any person who may know your personality or can describe your work ethic.
