Homemaker should i add that on experience on resume?

I am a stay at home mom and currently looking for a part-time job.
I have been a homemaker for 3 1/2 years..
I just wanted other peoples opion if i sould put that as one of my experience on my resume..
I believe it has been the hardest job that i have ever had.
If any one has done this please let me know, and let me know how it worked for you.

I once hired a person who had a homemaker as a job on her resume.

Here is what I would recommend. Look at the type of work you are looking for and think of some things you have done while being a stay at home mom that show your value to the workforce.

For instance, are you looking for a cashier job? What types of things have you done that would fit into that type of work. Items such as things you have organized,do you help with bill paying at home, do you volunteer at school, etc.

No. I wouldn't put that on my resume if I were you. Once you get an interview and they ask about gaps in your employment record you can informally mention that. But I wouldn't make a big deal about it. Most people kind of know what a stay at home mom does all day.

Nope. Dont do it. While clearly a noble job, it has little value to the skillsets employers look for in a tangible sense (unless ur applying to be a nanny).

Focus instead on any hard skills u do have from prior jobs. You can explain the gap at the interview.
