How do you include salary history on a resume and/or cover letter?

How do you include a salary history on a functional-based resume/cover letter? I am enclosing the job description with the question: http://www.sdmart.org/info-jobs.html#pai... and click on Visitor Services Associate.

I am also curious to know if I should try for the job anyway even if I'm not proficient in MS Outlook. I'm not but I am more than willing to become proficient at it.

Thanks for any help and/or suggestions.

NOTE: After clicking on Visitor Services Assoc., scroll down to the actual job description!

MS Outlook is just an email client. If you know how to use yahoo! mail you will be able to use MS Outlook pretty easily.

Here are some URLs on how to include salary history. That is pretty personal information though. If you don't feel comfortable, you could always put "Salary history available upon request." That way if they decide to give you an interview, you can show it to them then, if there are 15 people more qualified than you, then you put your salary history out there for nothing.

Wrap it in nan bread.

Don't, it only becomes a wall. See you are telling them this is what you work for. Get hired, once hired discuss salary or pay. Once you know they want you. You are the boss and you are deciding with them what you are willing to work for. But until then do not limit your self.

you don't, I have done some hiring, and it only keeps your resume out of potential interviews.

No do not add salary history on a resume or cover letter.
Resume asks for:

Name and address and phone number
Objective
Special Skills
Accomplishments
Work History
Education/Training

The ad stated: proficiency in Ms,,,,they just want to know you know your way around. Most places are willing to train on their own database.
Do you have access to a resume wizard...that usually shows you where to put salary info.
Since they did ASK for salary info, I would definately include it, part of the test sometimes is paying attention to details.

Good luck!!

add in knowledgeable instead of proficient .....one thing i learned.......
why would anyone want to add on wage history ... i wouldn't personally cause it is No ones business but your own ........some people take a lesser wage for a job because they like the hours instead ........up to you but i would never tell anyone in a resume or cover letter of my past wages.........
good luck sweetie....
