Is it okay to change your resume in the middle of a job search?

.... If several companies have your resume on file, but you've not heard anything back .... is it okay to change your resume? to expand your options, sort of?

As long as you don't falsify it or make up stuff, I think it's okay. I think a resume should be a "living" document, meaning that it's never in its final version, it should be constantly updated and revised.

As long as you don't submit the new one to the places you're already sent your old one.

Sure, why not! the purpose of a resume is to sell yourself to potential employers, so if u have something to add to your resume that u think would increase your chances of getting hired, i'd say go for it! As long as u don't lie or twist words (U put down Office Manager when u were a receptionist) or lie about your work history, there is nothing wrong with changing your resume!
-Good luck, its hard finding jobs these days, even with a degree, do what u can to find a decent paying job!

Updating your resume is a good thing as long as it is all true. If you forgot something or think something would look better another way. Most importantly is a cover letter. If you do not have one, I would recommend one. Alot of companies won't even consider your application/resume without one. I found this out the hard way. The minute I added a cover letter, the calls started coming in. I would also recommend checking out

You may find some good tips and things you did not know. Good luck.

Yes, it's ok, in fact some people will have 2 or 3 resumes to reflect different types of work that they are interested in obtaining and ezperience that they may have.

I changed my resume title every two weeks to keep it exciting and give it a fresh look. I dont think there's a problem with that. Good Luck!
