I need help writing a resume for employment?

Who would have ever thought they'd be creating a resume at 55? Well, I am and I sure need help. Any suggestions would sure be appreciated. I am a Caregiver and can't seem to find work which is very unusual for my type of work. Please help! And thanks so much.

A resume that will get you noticed is one that includes keywords that the interviewer is looking for. Also, resumes must be formatted according to your specific employment history.

Your resume may also include too much of some information and too little of other information. If I have a client who hasn't worked in a while, I format the resume to show other positive traits and steer attention away from the unemployment time. It isn't lying, it is selling your strengths. You may also have too little information on your skills or education.

Good luck on your job search!

you should make a cover letter too, those seem to have helped me.

as for the actual resume, you and I are not in the same field so it would be hard fo rme to offer you any kind of advice! sorry.

you can go to a bookstore like barns n noble and ask for a resume starter book.Or you can go online and type in resume builder ,and it should walk you through it.

Lot of job sites like Yahoo Hot Jobs have resume assistance. Just register, go to resume builder , plug your info in and it does the rest. Good luck. By the way its free.
